Your First day in Heaven
I'm opening the Singin' Through the Grief series with a song that rejoices that first day in Heaven when our loved one sees through the glass clearly all Jesus has prepared for them.
Imagining those we love strolling down the Golden Avenue, full of joy and free of pain, can bring a sense of peace and resolution to our fears and grief.
Scrapbook "Your First Day In Heaven" Song
- Did your loved one ever share their dreams or beliefs about Heaven?
- Do you know your loved ones story of salvation?
- How do you imagine your loved one enjoying Heaven?
- If you could design your loved one's mansion how would it look? This is a great opportunity to record their hobbies, favorites, dreams, goals and beliefs about Heaven?
- In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you ~ John 14:2
** My prayers are going out to a fellow scrapbooker who had to walk her dad into the arms of Jesus this week ~ but so thankful she can rejoice knowing He is strollin' down the Golden Avenue!
Your First Day in Heaven lyrics ~ Bill & Gloria Gaither - Landmark CD
Well it's a great, great mornin'
Your first day in Heaven,
When you stroll down the Golden Avenue.
There are mansions left and right
And you're thrilled at every sight
And the saints are always smiling sayin', "How do you do?"
Oh it's a great, great mornin'
You're first day in Heaven,
When you realize your worryin' day are through.
You'll be glad you were not idol,
Took time to read your Bible,
It's a great mornin' for you.
I had a dream, I must confess, I hated to awake.
He dreamt he was an angel at the great pearly gates.
Saint Peter said, "Well hello there, where have you been?
We've got your mansion ready so come right in."
And then he rang for an angel to act as a guide.
He spread his wings a time or two and learned how to fly.
Well it's a great, great mornin'
Your first day in Heaven,
When you stroll down the Golden Avenue.
There are mansions left and right
And you're thrilled at every sight
And the saints are always smiling sayin', "How do you do?"
Oh it's a great, great mornin'
You're first day in Heaven,
When you realize your worryin' day are through.
You'll be glad you were not idol,
Took time to read your Bible,
It's a great mornin' for you.
It's a great mornin',
A great mornin'
What a happy day.
