SBB Bubbles is Born

Sbb_bubblesAs I have mentioned, there are many changes coming to Scrapbookers Bubble Bath.  The Lord has placed on my heart for SBB to move itself from an intent of selling the Unto All Generations series to being a resource for all the great information out there.

Over the last few years SBB has made so many contacts.  I believe it gives us a beautiful opportunity to become a springboard for inspiration for making an eternal impact.  SBB Bubbles is part of the new focus. Read more about its purpose and design here.

We will continue to sell the Unto All Generations series ~ in fact, Book IV is in its infancy stages.  The idea of scriptures and faith in our albums makes me so excited and continues to be a deep passion.  However, I desire to make SBB more than the books ~ so, stay tuned for another new Christian Scrapbooking site, an exciting way to minister to non-believing scrapbookers, and whatever else the Lord places on my heart, and I have time to do :~)

Watch for the Orange Barrels

Under_constructionWith school out and no house to clean while in Texas, I have been heavy at work making some much needed upgrades and updates to Scrapbookers Bubble Bath and here at Faithbooking Inspirations.

The Lord has been drawing my attention to many things in the last few months, one of them being the purpose and mission of SBB.  With that mission in mind, there are some exciting focus changes coming that I believe will help serve as a great resource for you to create albums full of faith and legacy.

During this time of transition, there has been a new page added to SBB ~ What's New.   Its purpose is to serve as an easy point of reference and update.

Another new page is the Guestbook and Inspiration Sharing as a replacement for the Newsletter page.  I am super excited about this page because I think it can become a great place for you guys to communicate and help each other create meaningful albums.  You all have great ideas and stories about your scrapbooks pages (I know this from the emails you've sent me) ~ I want to give you the opportunity to share them with others.  Think about those just discovering faithbooking coming to this page and reading all your inspiration.  If you have more than one idea or story, then, make more than one entry, or, come back as often as you'd like.  Think of it as a Inspiration Blog from SBB readers.

There will be more new pages and a new site coming, so, stay tuned, and, watch for more orange barrels to be added and then removed.

I'm Back....

I_own_christian_scrapbooking_2

Hi ya'll.... Well, as you can see my beauty continues be make others speechless....and, I'm back, ready to inspire.

I wasn't too sure how to say "I'm back", or how to start posting again, so, I figured I'd just say "Hi" and give you a few updates.

Just to update...The past few months have been crazy as we have travelled between Houston and Cleveland.  My husband left for Houston in September and we are still in "transition".... as bad as they say the housing market is ~ it is the truth.

I'm not sure where the time went ~ I just know you all have been on my mind and in my heart!

During my time away, the Lord has been working on, and walking with, me on a journey to a very special, yet challenging goal.  It has been a time of amazing transformation for literally my mind, body and soul.  I am excited to share it all with you in future posts.

As far as Scrapbookers Bubble Bath is concerned ~ it remains my passion to encourage and inspire you all ~ SBB was just on the back burner for a little while.  But, I believe I am ready to jump back in.

I am currently working on the next He Keeps Us, which is set to be completed July 4th to celebrate my birthday :~)

The Unto All Generation Books are still available, and, Volume IV is in its infancy stage.  Realistically, I am thinking that will not be completed until Winter 2008.  However, I am super excited about this one, and believe you will find it has lots of new inspiration.

To all of you who have emailed to check on me ~ Thank you so much!!  I know I was not able to reply to each one, but, it warmed my heart to know I was missed :~)  I did find a few requests for the He Keeps Us that got lost in the Inbox piles of emails ~ I will get those to you within the next few days.

So, go dust off those albums, pictures, and Bibles.  Let's get back to Leaving a Legacy Unto All Generations.

SBB Welcomes 2008

I_own_christian_scrapbooking_3Yes, Scrapbookers Bubble Bath is still active, and, will continue to bring you faithbooking inspiration.  The end of 2007 and beginning of 2008 brought many changes and I had to put my passion on the back burner for a just little while.  But, as you can see, my beauty remains as breathtaking as ever!!  :~)

2007 was a year of amazing changes and challenges!  And I am sure 2008 will be just as exciting!

The name and domain "Scrapbookers Bubble Bath" just celebrated its 4th birthday on January 29th ~ Wow, that is so hard for me to believe!  What a blessing that silly name has been to me and what an impact it has made on my life.  I pray our vision has blessed you and helped you leave little splashes of eternity in your albums!

During the time that I was visiting Houston, the next place we will be settling ~ I spent much time in prayer about where the Lord wants Scrapbookers Bubble Bath to go and what my focus should be.  Not only is my family in transition, but, I believe SBB needs a new face and focus.  To be honest, no matter what I do or where my eyes wander, I keep coming back home to my passion of helping others get His Word in our albums.

I believe whether we scrap as a fancy Fay, a plain Jane, or a wordy Wilma, our albums are the best place for us to make an eternal impact for our family.

So, there'll be some changes ~ but, you will see the focus remain of leaving a legacy for eternity.  The changes will be simplified sites, more sharing among yourselves, and, hopefully, easier searching for ideas and inspiration.  These alterations may be slow, but, they will be all towards one goal ~ helping you make an ETERNAL IMPACT through your albums.

Now to the first order of business for 2008:  With excitement, I have decided to lower the prices of the Unto All Generation Series to make them more available to more scrappers.  They are currently available as downloads and CDs.  You can purchase them here

  • Volume III ~ $6.99 download, $8.99 CD
  • Volume I & II ~ $10.99 download, $12.99 CD
  • Volume I, II, & III ~ $15.99 download, $17.99 CD

The next change you will see within the next week is some changes to the actual Scrapbookers Bubble Bath website.  Some of those pages have been unchanged since SBB was first born 3 years ago ~ I'm thinkin' the old girl needs some updates :~)

This site (Faithbooking Inspirations) will continue to provide ideas, links, and inspiration with the intent to give you a wonderful resource for quick searches and page ideas during those moments of cropper's block. If you are not subscribed to receive posts directly in your email box, be sure to sign up to the right.

Again ~ as I have said so many times ~ thanks for being a part of SBB and for blessing my life.  I pray this next year finds us creating pages of legacy and eternity that will just rock this world for Him!!

A Scrapbooker's Christmas List

A_scrapbookers_christmasIt's Christmas ~ and, us Scrapbookers have a list too :~)

So, I thought I'd send Scrapbookers Bubble Bath's annual Scrapbookers Christmas List of Links and gift ideas for you to pass on to YOUR Santa.

Of course, the most exciting for me personally is the Unto All Generations Series ~ Available December 7th in all 3 formats: as a download, auto-run CD, and printed.  The CDs are very economical and make great gifts to wrap up for your favorite Scrapbooker.

Also, don't forget that Christian FaithScrappers will be open any day ~ ready for you to shop for Christian Scrapbooking Supplies as gifts to put under the tree ~ perhaps pick up even a few for yourself :~)

Here is a list of some great prices on Scrapping Products ~ You're sure to find something for your list here ~ at a great price!  :~)  (Of course there is no way this list can be all inclusive, and, I know there are lots of sites I am missing, so, if you have any other you'd like to share, please just click down to the comments, and, add your favorite place to shop.)

The Scrapsack is a nifty little bag and helpful for those who travel and scrap.

If you don't have the Cricut by ProvoCraft ~ it is a must have! I just love mine, and, wish I had more time to play with it :~) I have seen that even some Wal-Marts are selling them for $118 with a limited edition cartridge!

And now, ProvoCraft keeps dipping into our pockets: tempting us with cooler and better products.....

First, the Cricut Design Studio ~ this program allows you to hook your cricut to the computer and play even more ~ amazing, and, with ENDLESS possibilities!

Of course, the list of over 40 cartridges is too endless to mention, but, if you have a Princess lover, there are 2 new Disney Princess cartridges, as well as awesome font cartridges for fall and winter.  I've heard that AC Moore and even Wal-Mart are carrying these, so, shop around for the good sales.

There are now Colored Markers available to use with your Cricut instead of the cutting blade ~ the machine will draw a colored line where it would have made a cut!

And, finally, and, biggest of all, there is now The Expression which can cut up to 23.5 inch letters as well as do some completely cool tricks!  Can we say Scrapbooker's Gluttony?   Well, perhaps you can justify it by making a few BIG Happy Birthday and Anniversary signs for your husband :~)

Here are some of the best prices I've heard and seen to find the Cricut products on your list:

  • Hallmark Scrapbook ~ I think the Cricut product prices are one of the best you will find ~ The Expression is only $299 here! I also have read good things about their customer service on message boards.
  • Wal-Mart ~ If you are lucky enough to find them, some of their cartridges are at $30!
  • BargainPack ~ Through December their Design Studio looks like it is the cheapest at $59!!
  • Creative Express ~ they have cartridges on sale: buy 4 get each for $27
  • AC Moore ~ I have read that they are selling The Expression for $299 to $379, AND, it comes with 4 cartridges, a set of markers and a mat!!!  If you have one near you, keep your eyes open for that SUPER sale.  If you DO have one near you, I'm jealous :~)
  • E-Bay ~ If you do not have the personal Cricut, there are some Cricut addicts that bought the Wal-Mart exclusive package, took out the special cartridge, and, now need to sell the new machine on E-bay before their husbands find out :~)  You can get a great deal there ~ just do it in the next week or so before they sell all their stashes.

That's all the deal sharing I have for you this year ~ next year I will be typing my Scrapbooker's Christmas List of Links in warmer weather :~)

**** PS ~ For Faithbooking Inspirations subscribers ~ for some reason, the last post, (Our Scrapbooks ~ Our Love Letters) didn't go out to my email box ~ if you didn't receive it either, here is the link.  It is an important reminder of why we scrapbook and have these Christmas Lists :~)

Supercalifragilistic news

Great_news_faithbooking_storeThe Lord is so amazing!

In a beautiful turn of events the Lord has worked to keep the Faithbooking Store open by a new owner!!!

This has been such a blessing to me to see how He has worked to keep His Word in our albums through Christian Scrapbooking Supplies.  He does have a plan and purpose for our albums ~ and, He miraculously works to see that plan fulfilled!

So, while Christian FaithScrappers will be in its early stages over the next few weeks, I want to be sure you all hear the supercalifragilistic news so you have an opportunity to spread the big news around the table this Thanksgiving week as you eat turkey and share love with your families! :~)

A couple quick tidbits:

  • As I have spoken with her, I believe the new owner has a beautiful vision for the store and I am excited to see where she takes it.
  • We will be working closely together, so, you will continue to get a few updates and news from the store, as well as be able to get there easily from the other Scrapbookers Bubble Bath sites.
  • The new owner is offering a Free Gift with Purchase for all orders placed through November 30th.
  • Since the goodies are still in transition between our two homes, all orders will begin being shipped Monday, December 3rd.

So, spread the word, stop on over, and, shop till your fingers drop for yourself and Christmas gifts for your favorite crafter!

I so believe the Lord had this timing for the two of us for a purpose ~ We both are extremely excited to see where He has brought us and where He will take us.  As a team, we will be able to provide the ideas, inspiration, and, products you need to Leave a Legacy Unto All Generations!!

Eternal Splashes Store

Eternal_splashes_christian_scrapboo

**Since I paid for the host through November, the store will be open through November 30th ~ be sure to Christmas shop early :~)

Hope everyone enjoyed your trick or treating ~ once I get the pix downloaded, I'll share some thoughts I had as I walked with the kids last night and saw all the costumes.

I'm sure by now you have all gotten the message that we are in transition, and, my husband is in Houston.

This all came at the time I was trying to get the Eternal Spashes store up and running, and, I really believed I could "do it all".

However, I think I am finding that with my husband gone and homeschooling my children, I have a little less of me to spread around, and, something must be put on hold....

I have struggled with this decision more than any of you would ever know.  My dream has been to be your "one-stop" for Faithbooking Inspiration, ideas, and products.  And, perhaps one day, that can still happen, but, for today, and probably well into next year, I believe I must turn my eyes to my family first ~ they are the ones who gave me this passion in the first place.

Having said that ~ I really think I am going to put the Eternal Splashes scrapbooking products store on hold.  I am not sure when, or, even if, I will follow the idea of selling the products again.  I only can make the decision for today, and, put it all back in His Hands for tomorrow.

Scrapbookers Bubble Bath is my passion and love:  Unto all Generations is what started all this: Christian Scrapbooking will be such an amazing point of sharing among you all:  And, here, Faithbooking Inspirations has been a blessing to many of us ~ These sites and products are where I will put my focus for now.

The SBB Store name will change to Eternal Splashes, and, the Unto All Generations will stay there ~ perhaps I will put some scrapping products up there at some point, but, the store I purchased will be closing down by the end of next week.  So, yep, that means Clearance Sale!!!  :~)   I put everything at 35% off so there isn't so much product to stick in the moving truck.  So, take advantage of it this weekend.

Since the programmers at the web-host never got the work done, this is a good time to transition, before they put more time into it .....Perhaps the Lord knew that for me to see my store up there as I dreamed would make it even harder to shut it down :~)

I type this with tears of sadness that it must be done, yet peace that the Lord knows my heart and my desire to serve Him and my family first.  I believe sometimes we have to do what is difficult for ourselves to make it right for others ~ and, I figure once my kids are grown, I'll have all the time in the world to play with and sell papers and stickers :~)

So, that is a long way of saying, the store is on sale, grab it quick while you can (don't forget Christmas shopping), and, know that I try to serve Him in every area of my life, and, if He leads me another way, I'll go down it :~)

October 03, 2007

It's October!!!

Its_octoberDid you know it is October!!??!!

I'm not sure where September went, but, I think I spent most of it under homeschooling books and packed boxes!

And, sometime during that time my web-host "upgraded" my shopping cart for the Unto All Generations Books ~ I think I missed that email :~)  So, if you tried to purchase any of the books and couldn't get to them ~ you are not crazy, I just didn't realize not only was the color scheme changed, but, the links were all disconnected during the upgrade!

It is "Scrapbooking Season", and, it is time to start making those pages full of faith and legacy, so, I thought I'd set the Unto All Generations on the Annual "It's Scrapbooking Season!!" Sale.  The sale is effective now through October 10th ~ these are always the best prices of the year, so, get them while they're cheap :~)

I know these links work now guys, I am so sorry!!! :~)

Purchase these now, and, download them before your weekend cropping!

** Unto All Generations Volume I & II: Scriptures for Scrapbooking ~ $24.99....Purchase for $14.99!!!

** Unto All Generations Volume III: A Legacy for Eternity ~ $17.99....Purchase for $9.99!!!

** Keep an eye out for the upcoming "It's Scrapbooking Season!!" Sale at Eternal Splashes next week!

The homeschooling schedule is set, the closets are nice and neat for showing the house, and, the husband is out the door to Texas :~)

As I breathe a sigh of relief, I am excited to get the scrappin' supplies out and get cropping with you guys again!  :~)

September 09, 2007

Texas??!!??!!

Texas_scrapbookingIt will be one year on September 12th since we received our keys for our current home ~ and, hard to believe that there is now a "For Sale Sign" in my front yard!  I guess this is what I get for telling my husband I wasn't moving again :~)

I am sure you are wondering what has been going on with SBB and where I have been......

I am just passing on the scoop that in the last couple weeks, there has been a slight change in plans, and, we will be moving to Houston as soon as our house sells.  Yep, I did say Houston, all the way from the Cleveland Ohio area!

So, bear with me for another couple weeks as SBB, its sites and store are in a holding pattern while I scoot my husband out the door to start his new job.  Then, I will be able to get lots of work done on the sites since he won't be around to tell me not to stay up so late!  :~)

The last couple weeks has been filled with lots of "Ohio Lasts" and revisiting some special memories.

If you find yourself facing a new path, be sure to take pictures and make some quick Journey Jots to make some special pages later.

October 1st will be our new target date for all sites and the store to be up and running as I'd like it to be.  Until then, check out our home pages, watch our construction come to completion, and, think of me as I get my husband ready to find his socks and do his own laundry :~)

It's Coming Soon!

I_own_christian_scrapbookingI still own IT ~ and, as you can see, I am still just as beautiful as when I got IT......

But, wow, for some reason just looking at the computer didn't get the work done as I thought my beauty would!

While the Eternal Splashes store is set for its grand opening September 2nd, there have been quite a few unanticipated bumps in the road ~ I think we are managing to get over them one by one, but, what a battle it's been!

I am excited to see how Christian Scrapbooking is turning out, and, am praying that the pages will inspire you ~ I have the next 6 months charted out for it, and, I promise you will be blessed by those I have met as they share their stories of faith and creativity.

I am gonna ask if you can hang with me, as the store background re-construction will not be completed ~ that is the hands of others so, I am in a waiting pattern right now.

I do suggest you sign up for the Eternal Splashes newsletter (again, although it says FAITHscrappers, it will be Eternal Splashes).  It's kinda like signing up for the Jo-Anns Sales Flyer ~ you just never know when you will get a sale notification :~)

In the meantime, shop the large selection of Crossed Paths and Pure-D-Scripture that are currently on sale ~ and, check back September 2nd as we reveal our newest web-site and take the next step in this wild path He has charted for us.

And, by the way, I am offering consultations for those who desire my kind of rare beauty!   :~)

You are Entering a Construction Zone...

Faithbooking_under_construction You are entering a major construction zone!

As Scrapbookers Bubble Bath approaches its second birthday, we are frantically working to provide more ideas, products and inspiration.  You know, scrapbooking season 2007-2008 is rapidly approaching!

The blueprints have been created while watching football practice and the alarms are being set for earlier mornings to allow the work to get completed as planned.

While our new store's grand opening isn't until September 2nd, we are open for business, as long as you can scroll over the dust and maneuver your way around unfinished pages.

Here is the latest updates from the foreman forewoman on the project ~ she appears extremely excited about the changes!  However, she may need to claim workmen's comp for thumb pain from typing, clicking, deleting and scrolling.  :~)

Stop by, excuse the dust and address all comments to the SBB forewoman

And, be sure to visit again soon as the blueprints on napkins and scratch paper become your favorite places to visit for inspiration to leave little Splashes for Eternity!

Scrapbookers Bubble Bath ~ Not many changes here, just some cleaning up and linking to the new projects.  This will remain the central site and headquarters for the other satellite offices.

Christian Scrapbooking Supplies ~ Newly revealed today since it is in the final stages of completion!!!  This product focused office has the mission to share news and ideas about the products and manufacturers in our store.  **The galleries will be in a constant state of renovation, so, take a picture of your favorite pages and craft works, and, send them in.

Christian Scrapbooking ~ The blueprints are in the final completion stages.  This purpose focused office has the mission to share community and inspiration from other scrapbookers and crafters

Eternal Splashes ~ The backhoes, dump trucks and cranes have been called in here.  Eternal Splashes is SBB's newly acquired store for providing Christian focused supplies for your crafting.  There are only a couple aisles open, but we will allow you in as other aisles are completed and the products are shelved.  While we prepare for the grand opening, all Crossed Paths products are 10% off and Pure-D-Scripture Stickers are 30% off, so, ignore the dust, and, shop now :~)

Well, the crew is waking up, and, the tasks of laundry and hugs call the forewoman to her priority job of mothering.  The blueprints will be picked back up tomorrow morning ~ Enjoy your visit and, watch your cursor's step as you enter SBB's exciting construction zone!

I Own IT!!!

I_own_christian_scrapbooking_2Thought I'd take a picture of myself this morning.....

Why are you laughing??.....

I think I just look joyously beautiful!!!.....

Why do I look like this you ask?.....

How can you too get this look of pure elation?..... (I know, you are jealous)

I could barely sleep last night because, we are now the proud owners of the Christian Scrapbooking.com domain!!!

After many months of waiting, and a few nail-biting hours of bidding, I was able to call my dad in the hospital and let him know we now own our most coveted domain!

So, now I've gotta get these domains we have snatched up attached to web pages ~ but, with beauty like mine, I figure just looking at the computer will automatically crash the computer complete the pages!

Oh yeah, and, how can you get your own priceless look?.....

Get your own domain ~ I ain't giving mine away!!!   :~)

Thank You!

Dad_and_taylorJust a quick entry to say THANK YOU for your prayers, comments and emails!  You guys are amazing, and, your prayers were powerful.

I was so humbled by your response and words, and, it was very comforting for him to know that there were those praying literally around the world!

My dad did well, and, is on his way to recovery ~ what a miracle that present day medicine can perform such complicated surgeries.

On his way to surgery they put a silver shower cap on his head, and, he said, "You should take a picture for your scrapbook" ~ now, that's my dad!  :~)

As we looked at some albums last night, I found this poem, and, thought I'd pass it on.  Write it down, put it with your scrappping or card making supplies.

Papa Doesn't Care

My ice cream dripped on his good pants, but Papa doesn't care.

His fishing tackles tangled up, his rod is who knows where?

I lost his keys in the garage, Ive made a mess out there.

I'm always getting into things, but Papa doesn't care.

I help him in the garden 'cause we're really quite a pair;

I pull the plants out with the weeds, but Papa doesn't care.

When I'm grown and on my own, when visits become rare,

I won't forget the love I'd get when Papa didn't care.  (author unknown)

I typed this in Word, changed the font to a children's handwriting font, and used this under a picture of my kids fishing with my dad ~ perfect!

Again, thanks so much for your prayers guys ~ you are amazing, and, touched us with your words!

A Special Request

HeldI have to admit I type this entry with a somewhat heavy and kinda scared heart.....and, with a special prayer request...

My father has been taken to the hospital with chest pains, and, we have learned that he will need quadruple bypass surgery.  With of course, the next 24 - 48 hours being pretty crucial.

I share this with you because I know there are many prayer warriors that subscribe to Faithbooking Inspirations, and, because, if you are reading this, then, this wonderful man has touched your life.....

He was the one who encouraged me to pursue the website, taught me sooo much about the web, helped me name Scrapbookers Bubble Bath, and, designed each of the Unto All Generations books

He has been my encourager and my teacher through the last couple years as I have seen SBB grow and have continued to follow where I believed the Lord wanted me to take SBB and, now Eternal Splashes.

He has been such a special man to so many people, that I'd take hours to explain, and only begin to go down the list.

And, he's my dad.  :~)

While I face the next few weeks with quite a few mountains, as my mom needs much care, I do feel the Lord's peace and power, and, I take rest in the fact that God is God ~ period.

I'm not one to ask for prayer or send out requests, but, this one is a biggy, and, I believe my dad has impacted each of your lives in some way as well ~ so, I thought you'd like to help me gather His angels and send them to Southwest General in Middleburg Hts, Ohio :~)

May you each feel His presence today and this week and, thanks so much for being a part of our lives!

SBB Moving Sale

Moving_truck Scrapbookers Bubble Bath is going through a move to a new house and, will probably be off-line for a few weeks.

However, in celebration of the move, and, to make up for the broken links caused by Technical Difficulties, the Unto All Generations Volumes I & II set, will be on sale for $19.99.  The sale will continue until the boxes are unpacked and the broken links on the site can all be fixed.  Orders will continue to be taken over the phone by calling 216-570-1678 anytime.

*** A short side note from Tina ~ I apologize for the "page can not be displayed" links that have occurred as a result of the technical difficulties, but, I believe the coming changes and rebuilding will make Scrapbookers Bubble Bath a stronger source for helping you leave your legacy.  The vision, to make an eternal impact, remains a central focus and, continues to be my daily prayer.  I have always taken special care to be sure the site is easy to use and a pleasure to view - And, that will once again be the case once I can get our life back on whatever 'normal' is :) Until then, keep preserving the memories and leaving the legacy. Don't forget to include His Word and Works on your pages ~ those are the embellishments that will have an eternal significance!

Technical Difficulties 2

Technical_difficulties_1For those of you new to Scrapbookers Bubble Bath, I am sure you have been wondering what in the world was going on with the shopping cart and the site ~ and, others are wondering why there have not been any new posts....

No New Posts ~ well, we sold our house, and, I am frantically trying to pick colors, paints, furniture, and window dressings for the new house - wow, when you increase your square footage, you increase the amount of decorating you get to do - hopefully I would make Nate Berkus proud :)

SBB Cart and Site Errors ~ As mentioned last month, my VISA card was stolen, and, therefore, the card was cancelled (after giving half of Cleveland free gas)  :)  The problem with a stolen card, and a changed email address, mixed in with a little bit of human error, is that my new card number was not transferred to all parts of the site by the web host - therefore, parts of the site was cancelled!  YIKES!!!

I can not begin to tell you how much work has to be redone - meanwhile the moving day is quickly rambling down the road, and, I have to admit I was crying by the time I hung up from the representative from the host :)

So, my options were to spend hundreds of dollars to restore the sites, or, rebuild them.....and, well, I do want to buy that new beautiful chandelier, so, I think I shall be rebuilding my site :)

I guess once again I am going to have to ask for patience here - just seems like getting where I hope to go with the site is a much bigger struggle then it was a few months ago - BUT, there is much legacy to leave and beautiful eternal messages to create through our scrapbooks, so, if you all will hang with me here, I will not give up - just pause a second, praise Him for His grace, strength and love, and, then, recreate the cart.

In the meantime, all orders can be made over the phone at 216-570-1678.   Please do not hesitate to call me, and, I will hurry up to get everything up and running again.

I have to honest here girls, as I am speaking with my friend to share my frustration, I truly wonder if there is a bigger battle going on here......His Word is being recorded in so many scrapbooks for future generations to read and I don't believe this truth would continue without a battle.

So, guess I will get on my knees, pray some mighty prayers, and, press on :)

It's Too Hot ~ So, Let's Scrapbook Sale

Sizzler_summer_saleWow - for anyone who lives in my part of the US - we are sizzling hot!!!  Last month we were soaking wet with rain, and, now, I think mother nature is trying to dry us out :)

So, what should we do when it is so hot.....SCRAPBOOK in wonderful air-conditioning!!!  I know I got 20 pages done this weekend - I am not sure when I have gotten that many done in such a short period of time :)

And, I used my Unto All Generations to fill in those empty spaces since I was not even using many stickers.  The eternal beauty of the scriptures from His Word will last much longer than the momentary beauty of the stickers!!  As I read my emails this morning, receiving a very precious thank you from a customer that had just bought the books, I was right there with her ~ thanking God for His Word and how it spans all time and situations.

Then, I had a thought.....I did not advertise here on Faithbooking Inspirations that there was a sale on the Unto All Generations, the info was only on the Scrapbookers Bubble Bath welcome page ~ Since I know many signed up to receive the Faithbooking Inspirations by email, partly to be notified of sales and new info, I guess I did not do a good job in advertising it to everyone ~ now, you all know that my degree in college was for sure not in "Advertising"  :)

So, I will update ALL of you on the "It's Too Hot ~ So, Let's Scrapbook Sale" at SBB going on through August 3rd.

Be sure to take advantage of these United States super high temperatures and get these through August 3rd!!

Technical Difficulties

Technical_difficultiesFor anyone who tried to log on to Scrapbookers Bubble Bath yesterday and received an "OOPS" screen ~ please forgive me.

Would you believe my VISA Check Card for my Scrapbookers Bubble Bath was stolen last week?  And, as a result, lots of people got free gas compliments of.....me I guess.  However, Kudos to VISA Fraud Department for catching it before I did, and, helping me to cancel the account before my card and SBB served all of Cleveland.

The thing is, I knew these kids were doing something as I purchased my usual Saturday morning donuts at the grocery store.  When teenagers start telling you how cute you are, you know they are up to something :)  In fact, I finally said 'Come on guys, I am almost 40 years old, am the mother of 4, and, I just got out of bed'.  But, they still worked some pretty quick work, and, got my card anyway.

And, I forgot the fee for my websites came out of that card # ~ I wonder what my site host thought when the card came back as stolen?

All is up and running fine now, my wonderful bank if working on replacing all $ that was stolen as well as all fees, and, I cling a little tighter to my card now! :)

In fact, visit SBB soon, I am about to click over there and start working on it ~ the Lord has placed such big dreams on my heart for you, me, our scrapbooks, our legacies, and Scrapbookers Bubble Bath.

Rerun ~ Find Your Wings

Taylor_and_birds_niagra_falls_3

With Summer here, Scrapbookers Bubble Bath is on a mini-Summer Slowdown, and, will be posting some of our favorite posts.  This Find Your Wings, by Mark Harris, I think classifies as the most touching song on the radio today, and, the most frequent search that brings people to Faithbooking Inspirations.  So, read on, be sure to listen to the song by the link available here if you have not heard it, and, may you find your own wings to live this amazing life following His lead, and the courage to serve Him with complete trust !

Find Your Wings ~ Lyrics

It’s only for a moment you were mine to hold

The plans that Heaven has for you will all too soon unfold

So many different prayers I pray for all that you might do

But most of all, I wanna know you’re walking in the truth

And if I never told you,

I want you to know,

That as I watch you grow

I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams

And that faith gives you the courage to dare to do great things

I’m here for you whatever this life brings

So, let my love give you roots and help you find wings

May passion be the wind that leads you through your days

And may conviction keep you strong and guide you on your way

May there be many moments that make your life so sweet

Oh, but more than memories

I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams

And that faith gives you the courage to dare to do great things

I’m here for you whatever this life brings

So, let my love give you roots and help you find wings

It’s not living

If you don’t reach for the sky

I’ll have tears as you take off

But, I’ll cheer as you fly

I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams

And that faith gives you the courage to dare to do great things

I’m here for you, whatever this life brings

So, let my love give you roots and help you find your wings

Welcome to Scrapbookers Bubble Bath Faithbooking Inspirations ~ go grab your Kleenex and read on :)

That song so says exactly why I have such a passion for legacybooking.  It is exactly why I want my scrapbooks to have more than pictures, dates and guest lists.  I was given these 4 precious souls to nurture, pray over, mold, and one day, give wings to fly on to serve Him and bring others to Him while living this amazing life.  And, my children will look at my albums as they grow, and, long after I am gone.  Scattered throughout those albums they will find words of encouragement, dreams, prayers and eternity.

As Scrapbookers Bubble Bath goes on a brief "packing and painting leave" for most of April and May, I hope you find help from our Faithbooking Inspirations archives and SBB web-site.  But, more importantly, I pray you find, within yourself, the passion and desire to leave your legacy in your albums.  I believe there is no better place for future generations to read our prayers, our dreams and His Word.

I am working on the next Unto All Generations release to be released Fall 2006.  To be honest, it has truly been inspiring to me as I have planned and written it.  It is called Leaving the Legacy, and, will give us all an easy to remember and use guide to legacybooking.  It is based on using LEGACY as an acrostic to create pages of eternal significance ~ I am very excited as I see the changes this idea has made in my scrapbooking already!

However, as I have mentioned, moving has occupied so much of my time, that I am unable to give SBB the attention it needs and my heart desires.  So, I have made the very difficult decision to put new posts and changes on hold for just a brief time.  I have prayed and wrestled with the right thing to do, and feel this is what I need to do for myself and my family.

While I am on leave, Unto All Generations Volume I and II are available for purchase, and, new orders will be shipped.  Also, Legacy Pass It Ons, SBB's weekly journaling e-mail, will continue.  In the meantime, read the archives, and sign up for new posts of Faithbooking Inspirations and Held By Him.  And, visit our favorite links, I posted a couple new ones at the bottom of the SBB Welcome Page.

Please know you all bless me and that this decision has been one of much prayer and even a few tears.  Continue to love on your family, serve and yearn for Him, and, be ready to create some major awesome pages once I return at the end of May :)

Take care, and, remember, we are each Held By Him!

A SBB Snail Summer

SnailSummer is here, and, I find myself going to baseball games every night - some nights even trying to watch 3 kids at 3 games at 3 different fields and 1 time!

And, I know many have noticed activity on Scrapbookers Bubble Bath, Held By Him, and, here at Faithbooking Inspirations has come to the speed of a snail's noon nap :)

First, I was trying to get ready to sell our home, then, just as that was calming down, summer showed up, and, I find myself busier then I think I have ever been in my almost 4 decades of life.

So, I have one more request that you hang with me for a couple more months until baseball season is over and life slows down to a speed that gives me a few moments to focus on you and helping you get your albums done and your legacy preserved.  I find myself feeling badly that I can not give more time to my love of Scrapbookers Bubble Bath, but, the duties of a mom with 4 kids and a husband that play baseball are squeezing my creativity and energy down to size of a snail's pillow for his noon nap :)

There have been so many that have joined us over the last few months ~ it is just so exciting to see what God is doing with SBB and in each of our lives. I believe He has things planned beyond what we can imagine as we follow His lead and rest in His plan.

However, if you all are like me, you don't have time to go back and read past entries.  So, I thought I'd post re-runs of favorite posts, of both myself and readers, over the next 6 weeks.  These will be sprinkled with some from Held By Him and a few originals that I have brewing in my head as well.

So, enjoy the rest of your summer and, be ready to get those albums going in the fall when the snail's nap is over and SBB is ready to soar!

For Even Just One Little Boy

No_sign I have struggled with whether and where to post this ~ but, if I can save one parent from going through a similar moment that was very sad for me, then, I will be thanking the Lord that He has placed this post on my heart.

While it doesn't have anything to do with scrapbooking ~ it is an issue that does influence the legacy we leave, which is what Scrapbookers Bubble Bath is about.  And, if you are at this post, then you probably are a scrapooker, which means, you probably know someone with children.  So, please, read this, and, pass it on, or pass the permalink to anyone you know with children, especially boys.

Over the years, I have heard so many times of children accessing images that they should not see on the internet ~ and, each time, in my "never my kids" way, I have thought "oh, in somone else's house maybe, but, never in mine."  Well, please, please know, this can happen in any home, even with the best of children.

I figured, my children are homeschooled, they are rarely on the computer without me somewhere near by, they would never do such a thing, and, on and on.  But, it happened in my home, and, it saddens my heart beyond what I can put into words.  And, what breaks my heart, is that it was complete innocence and curiosity on my child's part ~ yet, he has seen images that no one should see.

For a brief explanation ~ we were at a very dear friend's house, her son asked my son if he know anything about sex.  My son said 'no' - and, that was the end of the conversation.  Well, what do we do now if we want to know any information on anything? ~ We enter it in a search engine on the internet ~ and, so, that word was entered in the address bar, and, you can imagine what came up.  I praise the Lord that the poor kid was proabably so horrified at what he saw that he only did a couple of clicks - but, the images had been seen, and, some innocence had been lost - right in my very own home.

I am sure you are thinking "well, where was your parental block"?  We had one for any new site that there had not been cookies stored for, but, the boys knew the password (dumb I know), and, I thought it blocked those images completely - no, not at all.  And, I have done much asking around since that time and learned some very useful information that I want every parent to know.

  • Parental blocks are not enough.  You have to go directly to your router or modem (call your internet supplier if you are unsure how to do it), and block any words that you do not want to be on websites your family will be viewing ~ then, be sure to check it to verify that it works. I know many of the family friendly internet suppliers work well, but, I do know a couple people that have come to me later and mentioned that, in fact, not all sites and images were blocked.
  • Be sure to check the image search on Google or other search engines.  We thought we had already blocked our router when someone mentioned that the images on Google are not blocked with some parental and word locks.  This is true!  So, again verify all is ok.  Go to Google images, or whatever search engine your children may do, and set the filter to 'strict'.  Then verify that all is ok by doing a search using words your children may enter. Be sure all is safe there.
  • Talk to your kids ~ now!!!.  We are a family with very open communication.  If someone had asked me if my kids would tell me if they saw something wrong on the internet, I would quickly say 'of course'.  I have been humbled.  My son did not tell me because he was embarrassed.  So, he walked around for 3 days with those images in his head, knowing what he had seen and having many questions.  Now, looking back, I wish I would have said 'If you ever see something you are unsure about, don't be embarrassed to tell us, you won't get in trouble' etc.  The situation would have turned out completely differently.
  • Check the address bar / history frequently.  I found this search accidently ~ or, should I say, by the hand of God.  It was a blessing that it was discovered, we were able to talk with my children, and, so was my friend.  If I had not seen the search, I would have never known, leading to completely different outcome.

This incident came out of 2 very good boys, who are being raised in Christian homes, having questions and searching for answers.  And, mine, knew where he could find the information.  Please do what you can to prevent this from happening in your home.  It will take you 10 minutes to prevent ~ and a life time to thank the Lord it did not happen to you.

PS - I so hope I have not offended anyone with this post.  If I have, please forgive me.  I have really struggled with and prayed over whether to tell the story or not ~ but, it has continued to be on my heart.  I am praying it makes a difference in even one little boy's life.

Celebration Extended

Faithbooking_s_logo_1 The entries for Leaving the Legacy are coming in ~ and, so are the requests for the final date to be extended :)

And, when I made the deadline for entries, scheduled for a Friday, I did not think much about the fact that most of us scrapbook on the weekend.

So, we will extend the Leaving the Legacy Celebration deadline to midnight, Sunday, March 12. However, if by some chance there is a tie, the date of submission will be considered ~ meaning if you have an entry ready, get it in today or tomorrow :)

It has been touching to see the entries, and, to read your stories ~ so, keep those pages coming!  For a reminder of the details, see the Leaving the Legacy Celebration entry.

To Simplify Life :)

Held_by_jesus_pix

When Scrapbookers Bubble Bath started a year ago our vision was to create a web site that was a relaxing and inspiring resource for faithbooking.  I wanted SBB to be a place for Christian scrapbookers to visit to be encouraged to leave a legacy through their albums.  I dream of helping others believe, as much as I do, that our albums can be tools to bless and bring our family to a deeper relationship with Christ ~ making an eternal impact.

Over the last year, the driving force behind anything we have done, created or encouraged has been that one single vision of making an eternal impact.  And, as we face the next year, my eyes continue to be set on Jesus, and, doing anything I can to help others catch this vision and passion I believe the Lord has set in my heart.

In trying to meet many needs, in addition to Scrapbookers Bubble Bath, SBB has two sites that have become arms of outreach, this Faithbooking Inspirations and Held By Him.  However, as defined in the name, we are reaching for relaxing and enjoyable inspiration, not just "another site to check or email to read".  So, in hearing from some of you, I have pursued various avenues in providing an easy way to combine the two sites, and notify you when new posts have been created. As a result, I have chosen to create SBB Inspirations Yahoo Group.

  • Through this email, you will receive the words or link to the newest entry for both sites directly in your mailbox.
  • This will be a letter only email group, not a discussion group - hoping to cut down on extra emails for those whose box is full every morning of more emails than they have time to read :)
  • This format provides an easy way for you to share the emails of inspiration with your friends - you can just hit "forward"
  • Any questions, you can just email me
  • To join, all you have to do is enter your email address in the white box below and click join ~ how easy is that?

I am excited about this, and pray it gives you one less thing you have to check, and continues to inspire you to leave a legacy Unto All Generations!

Legacy Pass It Ons has begun!

Legacy_pass_it_ons_image_side_borders_1Legacy Pass It Ons Started this morning!  I am very excited to hear how many precious words of thoughts and memories are now at least recorded on paper to be put into albums later.

If you have not signed up for them yet, it is never too late.  When you purchase the subscription, you will receive all past questions so you can be sure not to miss a moment!

As you gather the answers, I thought I would answer some questions that have come in along with some suggestions on organizing and using the treasured words.

Organizing:  As the answers are received, print them off.  Make folders to file the answers by person, then put each email in order in the folder so you know exactly where which specific answers are.

Using them: This is the fun part!!  The answers can be used in tons of ways!  Here a few to get you thinking....1) Use the answers as filler beside pictures of your loved ones in those empty spots on your pages.  2) Assign each person a color and sprinkle the answers throughout your pages coordinating with that month - kind of like a Where's Waldo search :)  3) Use 1 page with the question(s) at the top and everyone's answer written in different colors, writing, or even fonts on the computer  4) Include the actual printed email answers in pocket / sleeve pages with each coordinating month. 5) Use your imagination!!!!

I really do pray this service brings a blessing to many family members and friends ~ I know I am excited to hear the answers from those I love!

I'd love to see some pages created from your ideas, so pass them on to me :)

  • “I have tears in my eyes!! You will never know how much this is going to change my life, my kids’ life and anyone else who uses this. I don't think you understand what type of impact this could have on people. It makes me want to faithbook now! I even want to sit down and just read it. It is amazing to me how much more I can get out the word of God. It has changed my outlook on it”.-Leesa R
