Just Do It

13 months ago I walked my mom into the arms of Jesus.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of her.  I want to call her.  I want to hug her.  I need to hear her voice that it will all be ok. 

Was she proud of me?  What was her favorite moment being a mom?  What would she say to my children?  How can I be a better mom?  How do you boil eggs? :)

Over this past year I haven't scrapped a page.

I have taken lots of pictures, but just haven't been too sure where to start to capture the story and pass the legacy.

Then this week, it hit me....what if my kids also loose me too early.  What if they are left wondering what I would say to them?  What if they NEED to know, I mean REALLY KNOW that I loved them and was proud of them, but I'm not there to tell them?

Well, insert here the perfect answer to all my questions and fears:  My albums.

Have you ever really stopped to realize what a gift your albums will truly be to your family?  Our albums can be full of love letters, I'm proud of you cheers, words of wisdom and answers to the deepest questions in life.

The potential for our albums to touch those we leave behind goes so deep that there should be a sense of urgency to get those words recorded.

So, I updated the cart for the Unto All Generations back to the .99 for all 3 volumes, have been noodling on some upcoming posts, and, am excited to turn to a new stage of my scrapbooking:  Not just leaving the legacy, but, making sure my children know my thoughts, prayers and dreams for them!

Silly me ~ I've spent so much time circling around where to get started, and, missed the point that it doesn't matter.  In words stolen from Nike, Just Do It!

Oh how I can relate. When my daughter left home for another state (earlier in life), I wasn't ready. I couldn't scrap for a year either. And I LOVE your new idea for a book for your daughter.
